Today is National Wife Appreciation Day. Someone please tell my husband since it seems insincere coming from me. This IS a gift-giving occasion – isn’t it? I was thinking I could use something shiny and expensive -  a Christini upgrade for my KTM fits the bill. Or, since my birthday is October 21, Wife Appreciation Day could be a springboard to Beth’s Birthday Month. I could get a gift every day, like Hanukkah. Someone call my husband and be sure he knows.

Wait, maybe I’ve missed the point of the holiday. Maybe I should be thankful for my husband and recognize his role in my life – he’s the one who made me a wife. Maybe this is a reminder for me to express gratitude for all he does for me and the kids. Nah, bring on the gifts.
